I’ve done a lot of work with WordPress. I like to blog with it, make websites with it, make themes for it and I especially like making plugins for it. I have a few plugins you can download off WordPress.org and a bunch of tips and tutorials on my blog.
There are thousands of great plugins to help modify your WordPress installation in almost any way imaginable. I wanted to focus a bit more on those plugins that took advantage of the WordPress dashboard to bring information and functionality to a page that sometimes doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
These are my favorite places to find WordPress themes. I find I am often pointing people to these sites based on which list I think suits them best. I thought it was about time I collected my thoughts in a blog post and shared all of these great lists with the world.

Rather than reinvent the wheel here I’m going to share some articles I both agree with and have found helpful in the past. WordPress is extremely powerful in its simplicity but is made more powerful by its loyal users. The future of this platform is very exciting as we stretch the possibilities of traditional websites.
WordPress is what you make of it. For some it is a simple blogging platform no different than Tumblr or Blogger. For others it is an all inclusive content management system for their corporate website. Developers continue to recommend WordPress as a CMS because of all the extended functionality contributed by the community as well as it’s raw simplicity.
